Farmyard, Little Hucklow. Watercolour added to a previous ink sketch done on a sketching walk in the Peak District. I once overheard a comment on one of my paintings at an exhibition “Yes, it is watercolour, but it’s gritty, not pretty” suiting our Northern landscape. A maxim I try to remember when my arthritic hands are bugging me.
