Better photo of Cottage at Merrivale, Dartmoor, See detail below

The shadow side of the telephone box is achieved by the colour wheel info. Opposite to red, is green, so add that to the red mix and that gives you the mix to use (i used the green of the trees; FU + LY + touch of Light Red). Hope this helps

Nice watercolour David . Prefer the ‘zoomed in’ version which concentrates the eye on the buildings.

Even better!

Lovely, it definitely has distance, colours look great. I like the added touch of the birds.

Like both versions for slightly different reasons, I like the sky and distance in this one and the closeness in the other .

I like the sky in this one David.

Great scenery, David. Super sky and I love the addition of the birds.

Very nicely done David.

Lovely wet in wet sky in this version David. Perhaps a tree on the left middle ground, to stop the eye Following the road out of the picture?

Yes Stephen a possibility, however i wanted all the attention on the centre of interest, so decided not to clutter that side , hence sponging off. Good point though......thank you

Superb as always David.

Thank you everyone for your very kind comments

This is lovely. Thought it was a David Bellamy one ar first glance.

Hang on Studio Wall

When i showed this a couple of weeks ago, i thought it showed it being a bit washed out, so i have photographed it again to show its true tones and colour. It shows better the light on the top of stone walls, which is often seen and also on the top of stone wall bridges as well. The left hand grass bank was sponged to give distance and atmosphere.
