Fleeting Moments

So perfectly portrayed Catherine. Lovely work.

I love this, the soft lines are simply exquisite.

Such a wonderful painting Catherine complemented by your description of the transient nature of things.

So natural and I love the colours and movement and the lights on the street on a wet day

Really lovely.

You’ve captured the look, light and feeling of a dull wet day and the walk to school Catherine. This is very thoughtful and a really good painting.

Really good narrative painting Catherine

A lovely painting of a banal moment you have captured beautifully Catherine. Love how you have created the feeling of wetness so cleverly.

This looks wet! Brilliant Catherine

I can hear the rain drumming on those brollies! Fabulous painting.

A lovely painting - I love the lights, the pouring rain and the poor people walking through it!

Thank you everyone for your much appreciated comments. I was told not to paint this as it would be boring but it turned out just as I wanted it to and I was really pleased with it.

Hang on Studio Wall

One positive thing I gained during lockdown was an appreciation for everyday things that I used to take for granted and as I walked my children to school, battling with the rain, dodgy the oversized umbrellas of passersbys and trying not to let the children hit anyone in the head with theirs, I remembered that these moments and routines are fleeting and once they are gone, they are gone forever.
