She is so pretty, as all Cockers are! I think you have done this very well.

I have one tip - keep doing it! I find a rigger helpful for long fur, that and following the lay of the coat; but you don't really seem to be having any problems. And the day I meet an innocent Cocker span'l is the day I realize the little horrors have fooled me entirely.

She is delightful, just love those innocent eyes :)

This is a lovely portrait and very well painted! Painting fur can be quite tricky with watercolour though but as soon as you get into a rhythm you will soon get there. I paint the fur the way it grows making sure I follow the direction of each section, working on one at a time and obviously working from light to dark as normal. This looks great so well done and do some more!

Thanks for the comments, I really enjoyed doing this so I will keep practising.

This is the cause of my not being able to spend as much time as I would like painting this year. She is now nearly eleven months old, but still into everything. I have not really attempted long fur before and found it rather difficult to portray. Any tips?
