Stillness in the Blue Room

Comments

I use Viridian green occasionally myself on landscapes Chrissie, it can work well in the right place, like in this lovely still life. I can’t understand why these paintings of yours don’t get the comments they deserve! Not tight and photographic enough comes to mind!

Really like how you've painted this

Beautiful colours, Chrissie - such a delightful painting...

Thank you Alan ,Heather and Jan for your very pleasing comments! Yes Alan, perhaps you are right- my work can easily be described as loose !!

I love your colour palette and the loose style, far harder I think than a photographic image.

Well, I like loose - but don't always see your paintings; can't think why else I wouldn't have commented on them. A very cool and restful painting.

Super composition and palette. A beautifully and very painterly piece.

Thankyou very much for your thoughts on this painting Katy, Robert and Seok. I appreciate them a lot. An avalanche of comments !!

Acrylic on canvas. Starting with an almost random selection of marks and various blues and greens this painting came about almost by itself. I enjoyed using quite a selection of blues along with several turquoises and a Viridian green.
