Gosh Charles you have strayed from Derbyshire but with same lovely result. I like the way the bridge appears out of the trees and the flowing stream is very well handled.

What a stunning painting again, Charles. Beautiful play of sunlight and shadow. Your foliage, water and rocks are amazing. Well done!

A brilliant piece, Charles! There is so much to enjoy in this painting, and the whole piece works beautifully as well. super!

Stunning - Charles another masterpiece

I agree with everyone, beautiful painting Charles

I like woodlands and forests, this is very well painted, with much detail. I used to walk many woodland paths, along towpaths, before I came to the Hebrides, it broke me into the love of nature, of flora and fauna and all birds, butterflies and wild flowers. I like your interpretions Charles.

Love the format of this painting Charles......follow the path of the waterway up through the bridge, surrounded by all that wonderfu foliage, love it!

Lovely painting, I agree with the above comments

I love the soft contrast in this picture, for me there is just the right amount of light falling on the water, beautiful.

I love this Charles, so beautifully painted. I love how you have captured thelight falling on the water. Fantastic.

I haven't been participating for a while Charles so I am trying to catch up after Xmas and Flu!, its amazing to me how I get flu in the middle of a very hot summer, anyway this is lovely, love the bridge and the foliage, congratulations .

I know I've been there - even longer ago than you were, but I still recognize the scene. I like everything about this, but especially the way that the bridge, although a supporting structure to the whole painting and subdued in colour, still conveys such a sense of solidity and monumentality.
