I think that you achieve great depth in your paintings, but where do you begin painting such a tangle. Its no wonder you went crosseyed

I agree with Kevin as you have a great portfolio in many different mediums. Lovely painting

Thank you very much, Charles, I am very honoured. I can imagine you were a bit dizzy when painting this? It is just amazing, just like the rest of your gallery!!! :) Mia

I think there's a good deal of depth in most of your paintings, as it happens - but especially in this one; love this sort of thing! The tangled branches against an interesting landscape are wonderfully done: and as always, I love the warmth in your paintings. You paint undergrowth as it is - tangled, impenetrable, intriguing in the way it might be concealing almost anything.

It's all been said Charles....I love it too.

You must have the patience of a saint to be able to paint such wonderful detail. I love the fact that the painting has layer after layer of interest with roots, twigs and mosses all competing for our attention. You also get such a lovely warm glow to your paintings that they make you feel happy just looking at them.

An excellent piece, Charles. There is so much movement and vibrancy in this scene.

This is great Charles. I know what you mean when painting trees it can become quite confusing ! I am working on one at the moment which has taken an amazing amount of hours and has left me mind boggled at times ! Hopefully I will be posting it on here sometime soon.

Painted on Saunders Waterford 300lb rough.--- As you can see by looking at my Woodland gallery I do not get much scope for painting depth. { Its a big problem in my type of painting }----- To try and get over this problem I will very often try and paint such as TANGLED {1} or as you see { TANGLED {2}.--- Do not know wether I have got this one right.------- went crosseyed trying to paint it---- This one is for MIA
