I was on the verge of giving up on this one, but very glad I persevered. First finished painting of the year. A Chilean flamingo, from my own photo. Acrylic gouache on canvas panel, 40x30cm.

I'm an acrylic painter finally getting started again after a long break while my children were small. Birds and animals are my favourite (currently only, subjects), and despite planning to start small my paintings are rapidly increasing in size as I regain confidence!
