Laundry by the road to Chittogarh
This colourful scene was one of countless which caught the eye and the imagination during our time in India. Travelling hundreds of miles, often by taxi, meant that the six of us often had to rely on photography to capture the array of images we saw. This watercolour was developed from a scenario I shot through the car window. There was a placidness to the ladies actions, a quiet sense of purpose and a tranquility to the scene which was captivating.
