It's Art in the Gardens this coming weekend in Sheffield's Botanical Gardens, previewing this Friday 6 September and I have a stand, as I've had for the last 3 or 4 years. The amount of preparation is enormous; in fact I'm wondering how many more times I'll do this, much as I enjoy it. I've loved preparing a set of paintings of New York Streets, now over bar the tweaking, (several things need attending to) in a mix of watercolour and body colour, using an underpainting as prep, to unify, not to mention simplify the painting.
