Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Painting has had to take a back seat for a few weeks - being a Churchwarden, Easter is such a busy time and other things have got in the way!

Great image, really yet icky to get the figures right from the viewers high position

Our Tenbury & District Art Club monthly challenge for April is The Weather. I'm right at home painting moody skies in oil - so I decided to try something different. This watercolour was inspired by a free Unsplash photo download entitled "Rain in Kyoto" by Ryoji Iwata. I used a bit of artistic licence to contrast the bright umbrellas with the greys and darks of the rain sodden paving and the people rushing home after work.
