Captures the ambiance of the place

Thank you, Michael. The Isle of Man is one of my favourite places, and this is a piece of work I've framed and hung on the wall in our house.

The Isle of Man has been closed to visitors during lockdown, but I have drawn, sketched and photographed the Island many times since my first trip to the Manx Grand Prix in 1983. I found new inspiration in a photo of Cregneash taken by Joseph Mischyshyn on 16-9-2003 and shared on Geograph.org.uk website under a Creative Commons licence. I decided to capture the dull autumn day in charcoal and a very limited palette of 2 red and 2 green chalk pastels.
