Castletown - from Scarlett Point
I visit the Isle of Man every year - it's my favourite place in the world, and I never tire of its landscapes. I based this watercolour on a photo I took in early September 2018 on an evening walk from Castletown to the old lime kilns at Scarlett Point, and it is one of my favourite pieces of work. I always photograph my finished paintings before framing them so there are no reflections from the glass - this one looks much better set into its plain white mount and frame.
