A beautiful painting Bobbie the whole series has been really good and well, painted.

Thank you. We all need to keep learning to grow and develop - and this intensive 3 day course made my brain hurt! My art room has been relatively cool during the heatwave, which has given me a good excuse to ignore all the other claims on my time and keep on painting.

It's lovely and I particularly like the way you've used lights.

This is the last piece from last week's plein air painting retreat with Vicki Norman. I began it at the end of Day One after making a preliminary Notan sketch to establish the values. The angles and planes of the roof lines and the grand entrance are what attracted me to this corner of the garden, and I had enough time to block in and begin the buildings en plein air. I finished the painting at home yesterday with the benefit of a few days to reflect on my learning points.
