This was a bit of portrait drawing practice in charcoal highlighted with white chalk. I like working with charcoal but hadn't used it for ages - and I hadn't tackled a portrait for a while either. I was trying to capture the strong contrast between light and dark - although I'm not totally sure about the finished result!
