Lundy by Bobbie Matulja
We visited Lundy Island during our short September break. The crossing was very rough on the way out, and the island was shrouded in mist for most of the day. I took the source photo for this painting from the boat just after we sailed for Ilfracome at the end of the afternoon. I didn't do any drawing out - I just dived straight in with big thick brushes, palette knives, a plastic scraper and an expired National Trust membership card, and this is the result.
