My husband and I visited Elgar's birthplace, The Firs at Lower Broadheath near Worcester, with friends last October. When my first City and Guilds Printmaking study weekend was cancelled thanks to Storm Goretti, I dug out one of the photos I took and spent 5 hours painting it in oils on 30 x 40 cm canvas board.
