Hazel - Drawn without my varifocals! by Bobbie Matulja

I made this pastel portrait of Hazel on A3 cartridge paper at the last week's Ludlow Friday Group session. These days I need varifocals to see the finer detail in the model's face as well as what I'm putting down on paper. My reading glasses - which is what I had with me - were fine for the latter, but my own eyes don't work quite as well they used to looking at a subject 6-8 feet away!
