Mixed media (acrylic, collage, soft pastel and oil pastel) on A2 deckle edge paper made from bamboo and recycled cotton. This piece took ages, and I tried to finish it before Christmas - at least it's done now, ready for Epiphany. I wanted to avoid the traditional view of the magi on camels or at the manger. I used a free Pixabay photo of bedouin tribesmen as inspiration for the figures; the landscape is based on my memories of travelling in Israel and the Middle East in the 1990s.
