Thank you all. I found the "Angels" theme inspiring. I had a great time researching how they've been portrayed in art history before I began, but I wanted to paint something that reflects now.

SOLD No 2 in a series of 3 40 x 50 cm mixed media pieces on an Angels theme for our Carol Service, with apologies to Giotto!. Monoprint over collage coloured with soft pastels, pastel pencils and acrylic paint. I used masks to establish the sun and the original horizon line, and lots of acrylic knife painting.
