As Churchwarden I have to accompany an Architect who comes every 5 years to check on the condition of this Grade 2 Listed church. I need to be around to answer queries - so I took my pastels along. It was a cloudy flat light day, which isn't great for landscapes - so I chose to capture the building (albeit with lots of interruptions) in soft pastel and charcoal pencil on putty coloured A3 Tiziano pastel paper.
