They look brilliant all together, you should be really pleased with them , Linda 😀

Thanks once again, Linda, for the very supportive comments. Appreciated, as always. I must admit I AM pretty pleased with the outcome. You know how it is when you start something, and how you always wonder if the final result will come close to expectations/hopes. So, all in all, I'm happy with the series and might even try a bigger one. One day. *smile* Bri

I love pastel Brian and I love these, a brilliant series

Very beautiful detailed realism Brian, you are a man after my own heart in your use of pastel and capturing the beauty you see. You certainly have an artists eye and it is certainly not too late to put that talent to work for your enjoyment and for many others I expect. Wonderful pastel work, are you using Fisher 400 sanded paper. I like that paper a lot. All the best, Paul

Superb Works!

Brian, your collection looks spectacular! You truly have an affinity with the sea and coast.

Thank you very much indeed, Russell, Paul, Skylar and Fiona, for the very kind and supportive comments. Much appreciated. I can't tell you how pleased I am to read your reviews. Thanks again. Thanks for the comments throughout the series, Russell. I'm a great admirer of your work, so a thumbs up goes a long way. Thank you, Paul. A fellow pastel enthusiast! I must get over to your painting soon. I use Canson pastel paper, but I was in the art shop the other day looking for sanded paper to try out. Never used it before but a few friends have recommended it, despite its pastel hungry nature. *smile* Thanks for compliment, Skylar. Always good to see you floating round. Such a lovely thing to say about the series, Fiona. I smiled my head off when I read your comments. Best to all Bri

Nice work Brian , I need to do start some more grown up paintings again .

What a gorgeous collection Brian. Like looking out of a window onto a rich, feast of seascapes.

These are fabulous Brian!

Thank you Mike, Carole and Margaret, for the generous comments. Appreciated. You had me smiling, Mike. Liked the humour. Ha! It does look a bit like a window, doesn't it, Carole. I arranged them on my bedroom floor, with the photo in mind, because it was the only surface without a pattern. And it was flat. Delighted to read "fabulous" Margaret. Very kind of you. Best to all Bri

Four absolutely stunning pastels Brian?

What a great comment to be greeted by first thing in the morning. Thank you very much, Barry, for the great review. I've enjoyed this series from start to finish and will probably look a at the Mouth of the Tyne next, but not before I've finished my other projects. Bri

Splendid work Brian, and don't they look good as a group! I like everything about them, but I especially like the way you paint the sand and water...superb technique.

These are magnificent, Brian

Super series, Bri.

Thanks for all your support throughout this series, Lewis, and thanks for the generous comments. I blended three main colours for the shallow water: green-grey, light blue (various), white. The sand was a combination of burnt sienna, deep yellow, light yellow, white, and a hint of red (depending). The two colour ranges came together well. There was a lot of experimenting as I went but it was all part of the fun. Bri

Thank you very much, Dawn and Seth, for the highly encouraging comments. Much appreciated. Bri

You should be absolutely thrilled with yourself, Brian! They look stunning together! Superb result!

My word Brian, these look spectacular all together. Each one is perfect and together they look magnificent!

Thank you very much, Thalia and Margaret, for the wonderful comments. Always appreciated. I've a couple of wee nudges to make but I AM pleased with the outcome. A rare experience. *LOL* My sincere thanks to both for sticking with this series. Bri

Just spent an enjoyable time going through your excellent gallery Brian. I especially like these as pastel is my favourite medium though I don't use it as often now because of the dust. Many thanks for the comment you left on my red hydrangea.

Thank you very much for the kind comments, Val. Very much appreciated. I read your bio and was delighted to see that you're also a pastel enthusiast. I've been working with them more and more these days, but like you I find the dust a pain. Thanks also for the generous comments about my gallery. It was good of you to let me know. I look forward to seeing more of your work, and if your hydrangeas are anything to go by we're in for a treat. Bri

Pastel paintings on Canson (white) 32 x 24 cms each. Here are the four pastels of the South Shields coastal features I've been painting recently. I've placed them together to show how they look next to each other. Thanks for all the comments along the way.
