Beautiful and peaceful Brian.

the birds are a nice clever touch .

Beautiful rendering of the rocks, and love the foreground sheen on the wet sand.

That's very kind of you, Marjorie. Thank you very much. I'll probably work a bit more on the rocks because they're looking a bit sketchy, I think, and although I'm not displeased with this effort I'm not happy with it either. I'll see what tomorrow brings. I know I've found this one to be harder than the others, for some reason known only to the art gremlins. *smile* I just wondering if I'm missing some highlights. Anyway! Thanks again. Appreciated. Brian

Thank you very much, Mike and Chandra. We must have cross-posted when I was replying to Marjorie. Thanks for the nod to the birds, Mike. Appreciated. Thanks for mentioning the rocks, Chandra, because I wasn't at all sure about them. Perhaps they're better than I thought at first. Delighted the sheen worked. Thanks for letting me know. Best to both Brian

I think it’s marvellous Brian! You’re a master of wet sand and shallow water, the rocks look great too.

Thank you very much, Fiona. You're too kind, but I'm very grateful for the generous comments. Appreciated. I'll give this one the once over tomorrow morning to see what occurs, all things being well. Bri

Love the rocks, Brian. Beautiful painting.

Thank you very much, Seth, for the comments and support. Very much appreciated. I've adjusted the rocks now, by simply adding a touch more shading and highlights, tweaking the reflections on the sand and adjusting the sea a touch. It might not look much different but I'm definitely happier. It's weird how it takes a photo to show you the areas you don't like so much. Bri

Lovely work Brian beautifully rendered . Thank you for the kind comments on my latest , I sold 7 large paintings over the weekend and sell pretty much every week from another patch I have in Merrion square , Dublin . This is how I earn my living , I don’t sell prints at allow as it’s not permitted by Dublin corporation

Thank you very much, Dermot, for the kind comments. Appreciated. I'm not at all surprised you're having so much success with your art but I am amazed that prints are forbidden. I wonder why that is. Brian

A very good idea Brian. Your wet sand is spot on with just the hint of a reflection from the rocks which are also so well crafted. An idyllic scene to grace anyone’s home but especially for you as it brings back memories.

Thank you very much, Barry, for the kind and generous review. I've just had a look at all three, next to each other, and they don't look so bad at all, although my mind is flooded with memories when I look at them, so I'm biased. I've just started the fourth one. Fingers crossed. Much appreciated. Bri

Beautifully painted Brian

Thank you very much, Russell, for the kind comment. Always appreciated. Bri

What a fantastic pastel Brian, well done indeed.

This is just fantastic, Brian, The rocks! Well I feel I could touch them! Brilliant work and the birds add that special 'something'

Your paintings always make me say 'wow'. Such a wonderful painting Brian, everything looks so good, the sky, the rocks, and the super wet sand. Fabulous!

Thank you very much, Alan, Thalia and Margaret, for the wonderful and very encouraging comments. Deeply appreciated. The birds were a last touch, Thalia. This was early May and there seemed to be a general lack of seagulls, which is unusual, given they can be seen in any month of the year, and they would be nesting at this time. So, I lobbed a couple in there for good measure. Margaret!! You're making me blush. LOL Really pleased you liked this one. I've one more to go to complete the series. Best to all Bri

Thank you very much, Maureen. Appreciated. Bri

Love the sea in this one Brian, especially the way it comes on to the sand. Lovely painting

Thank you very much, Dorothy, for the kind comments. Delighted you liked this one. Much appreciated. Bri

Not a pebble in sight! LOL. This is a soft pastel painting, Rembrandt and Unison, on Canson white, 32 x 24 cms. It's number three of four, with only the other side of Trow Rock to go, my favourite side. I'm bringing my childhood haunts right into my own home. Why did I never do that before.
