I remember this well Brian, I can't see what extra you have added but it looks wonderful. I loved it the first time and I love it again😀😀

Fabulous, Brian.

Marvelous, majestic. Love it all, especially that ominous sky.

Amazing brian. What a painting!!

Thank you very much, Margaret, for taking the time to comment again. Appreciated. The original was darker, the right-hand side was obscured slightly by glare, and I've adjusted the background fell and retouched the foreground highlights. If anything this one is slightly overexposed, but not terribly so. The original is still in my gallery btw. Thanks, Seth, for the great comment. Appreciated. Best to both Bri

Thank you very much indeed, Lewis and Michael, for the very encouraging and generous comments. Appreciated, as always. Best to both Bri

This is a lovely painting of a beautiful part of the world Brian.

Great landscape, Brian.

Thank you very much, Carolyn and Ronald, for the kind comments. Appreciated. Yes, this IS a beautiful part of the country and I love it. I know I've said it before but every time I drive or walk around the Lakes I can't believe it's all part of our country. Best to both Brian

Yes, loved it first time and love it again now.

Hey! Thanks, Sandra, for commenting on this revision. Much appreciated and I'm really pleased you liked it. Bri

Many thanks, Maureen. Appreciated. Brian

Wonderful piece of work Brian, quite simply brilliant in every respect.

Wonderful sweeping landscape Brian, majestic!

Fantastic Brian. Love the dramatic diagonals.

Wow! thank you very much indeed, Alan, Tessa and Carole, for the amazing comments. Very much appreciated. Delighted you liked; thrilled in fact. Best to all Bri

This one was lovely the first time around but I can see where you have added extra to it, much brighter 😀

I visit the 'lakes' every year to experience the atmosphere that you have so magically captured in this spectacular painting Brian. I could 'visit' this painting on a regular basis too, especially if it was hanging on my wall!

As Lewis rightly says, majestic is the word. I remember the previous post, it just looks so fantastic to me...especially that threatening sky! Superb, Brian. Thanks for sharing

Thank you very much, Linda, for looking and commenting again. Deeply appreciated. I added more colour, and managed to take a photo outside when the sun was hiding its face behind a cloud. Brought the colours out. It was Alan's recent post about where he takes photos that spurred me on, to try my luck in the garden. I nearly fell off my chair, Russell, when I read your very kind and encouraging comments. Much Appreciated. We share a love of the Lakes, methinks. You too, Thalia. I'll need a new chair at this rate. *lol* Very kind and supportive of you. Thank you very much. Best to all Bri

Apologies for my late comment Brian. This thoroughly encapsulates the magnificence of the Lakes, especially the elements at work in such wild surroundings. The tumble of water, ominous sky and the rough terrain....if it were not for the ribbon of road, you would think yourself in a prehistoric age!

Thank you once again, Fiona, for a wonderful review and analysis. Much appreciated and glad you liked. That prehistory thought and impression is GREAT! It's more than interesting because the fells are littered with evidence of Stone Age man, with tools and weapons found all across the District. I think you mean older than that, though. The Lakes fells are amongst some of the oldest in the world and as a consequence much of their height and ruggedness has been smoothed away. The Borrowdale group, including Honister, is about 450 million years old. The Rockies and Alps, by comparison, are roughly 80 to 65 million years old, depending, making them geological infants. *smile* I'd better stop. *lol* Bri

I've given this one a final nudge and have managed to get a glare free photo. Almost. I can still see where a nip and tuck is required but I'm not sure they'd be noticed if I went ahead.
