Love the low hanging clouds and the warm radiance of the snow. I’ve been to quite a few Neolithic sites, but only painted Stone Henge and that was really about the sunset and the clouds. I think the stones are more interesting than beautiful, but you have depicted them well.

Super, has real presence

Thank you very much indeed, Linda and Heather, for the warm comments. Much appreciated. I have yet to try Stone Henge, Linda, but I bet it looks great with the sun setting behind those gloriously eerie rocks. These ancient sites seem to spark the imagination, I find. Best to both Bri

Nothing wrong with the painting Brian, glad you kept the sky I feel there is a bit of moisture lurking in them which could be deposited at any time.

I recall you doing this one Brian, it’s a lovely painting with a tremendous sky!

Family can be so ungracious sometimes. I love the reflection of the clouds on the hills and the way you have used the foreground space by keeping it clear, emphasising the main focal point. Beautiful work Brian.

Thank you very much, Barry, Alan and Carole, for the highly encouraging comments. Always appreciate the feedback. Yes, families pull no punches, Carole, but they did say they liked the sky *grin*. I'm delighted the sky seems to be working for all of you. Best to all Bri

Oil on 50 x 40 cms. I originally painted this one for my sister but she didn't like it and asked me to try again. (bloody cheek!) My brother opted for another painting, saying he'd prefer a seascape. Eventually my son's girlfriend said SHE liked it and so it eventually found a new home. Well, they recently split up and she returned the painting immediately. (can't give them away) SO, I've decided to keep it for myself. I've substantially revised this piece, changing just about everything but the sky.
