Terrific as usual. Obviously had a very productive few days with Jem.

As with all your work, Barry, you have captured the mood of the day perfectly.

Another cracking painting, Barry. You find an amazing beauty in the everyday experiences of all of us, always painting sink in pictures. The softening of the rear buildings works a treat and those spots of colour and foreground light give this a delightful depth. Brian

Thank you Brian, just to say I haven’t been on Jem’s workshop but he would have been with us in Malmesbury but for that commitment. Many thanks Seth, I must admit it was difficult on Thursday as the light was constantly changing but I always try and keep in mind what first attracted me to the scene and what were the conditions at that time.

Thank you Brian, I must admit that since I started painting I do see the world in a different way and try and look for the beauty in everyday life. What has really helped is the support of my fellow artists especially Steve Hall, Jem Bowden and Tim Wilmot who have shared their expertise. This has definitely improved my painting skills and enabled me to capture these scenes.

Great atmosphere, can just about feel the rain.

As I was rained off in the afternoon during our recent visit to Malmesbury I have used one of the photos I took for this view. I have deliberately kept the far shops vague in order to focus on the building that is catching the light.
