Thank you Ibolya, I did have to fight to stop myself getting into too much detail. It certainly took me longer to paint than my usual subjects but I hope I didn't cross into the area of overworking to often.

Its great, another great painting and love the sky.

During our visit to Dedham Hall earlier this year my friend Steve took me to this boatyard on the Wednesday afternoon which is the half day off for the tutor. I took a photo as it wasn't possible to paint this scene without being in the way, after all it is a working boatyard. It is also a complex scene which I usually shy away from but today with the rain outside I have had a go. Overworked a bit especially on the right hand side but a worthwhile project to attempt. Not absolutely sure of the location.
