I painted this for a friend of mine who lost her hugely-loved Bess, really suddenly, a year ago, as a gift; it now hangs in pride of place in her home, still loved to bits; I'd love to hear what you think? Love and God bless, Andy 😊

This is excellent, Andy - it's hard to paint something black, but you've done a great job with adding in blues and purples. It looks very convincing, and the eyes are superb.

Thank you Jan; that's really lovely; reflective feedback; much appreciated! Love and God bless, Andy 😊x

Absolutely stunning, Andy. So life-like, I could have so easily have mistaken this for a photo. The texture of the dogs coat is amazing, how you have caught the layers of the dogs hair around its neck area. Congratulations Andy, the best dog portrait I have seen. Well done, in the colours and movements. The eyes are so beautiful too. 🤗❤️xx

A beautiful dog portrait, Andrew! I love the sheen you have achieved on Bess's coat and the touches of violet on her muzzle. She certainly looks a much loved pet and what a wonderful gift too.

Thank you Jacqueline for that wonderful extended response and feedback; much appreciated! Love and God bless, Andy 😊xxx

Thank you Jan; that's really lovely feedback and her owner tells me she can't stop looking at it! Love and God bless, Andy 😊x

Love the angle and a great expressive pet portrait, no wonder she loves it

Thank you, dear Heather! Love and God bless, Andy 😊❤

Love those faithful eyes and the pose Andy. The colouring is very good too. I’m not surprised the owners love it so much.

Thank you, dear Katy, for those lovely comments and feedback! Love and God bless, Andy 😊❤

I really like how you managed to portray Bess as old and vulnerable here Andrew. I enjoy the versatility of your art and I’m sure the recipients will always treasure this painting. God bless🌈🌈

I’ve always loved water, its movement, its colour, its power. I had the privilege of working as a hydrologist for nine years before ordination, necessarily but enjoyably observing the movement of water in full flow or even in floods. That was thirty years ago but my love for moving water has not…
