Thank you so much for your lovely comment Loeswantri :-) I used reference photos from a favourite flower-filled verge-side to help me paint this. This particular patch has such lovely oranges and yellows in it - so uplifting to see ... and such a pleasure to paint as it reminded me of being there too.

Thank you so much Heather, it’s actually one I had started and then had to leave when working and painting became too hectic. It was good to have the time to come back to it and actually finish it! I have really enjoyed switching from very small to very big paintings - and back again. Not sure I could ever just stick to this size though! :- 0

I greatly admire your devotion in achieving such an accomplished array of gorgeous blooms. This is quite a marathon and I love the format of the canvas.

One metre wide painting of wildflowers. Oil on canvas. Painted in June and posted today for #nationalmeadowsday I love seeing flower-filled fields, verges and roadsides and find them constantly uplifting and inspiring :-) This painting was so wide, I needed two table-top easels to hold it while I painted! (My free-standing easel is currently inaccessible, but I am carrying on regardless!)
