A beautiful painting of a most picturesque Yorkshire seaside village!!

Superb light and structure Alan.

This is one of your very finest in my opinion Alan.

Well this is outstanding Alan. You have really horned your skill and art.

Like this a lot, great picture.

First class work as ever. These old buildings make a great subject.

Thanks guys, I’d much rather draw old buildings than trees in a landscape! More interesting and challenging!

Agree with Russell about this being one of your best. Beautiful.

Really lovely Alan, there’s even sunshine!

Love this one, I agree, its one of your best !!

Lovely light and shadows in this Alan

Fabulous collection, fabulous painting

Lovely one Alan - I like the white too! - and your signature masquerading as pebbles!

Very well done Alan.

Another excellent piece Alan.

Love the composition. And building forms

Great pen and wash Alan.

Love this place and love the clarity of your sketch

Love the light on the buildings Alan. Such an iconic scene delightfully portrayed.

Just wonderful how you've portrayed the light Alan.

The white walls make the whole painting zing! The beach and old boats ,as well as the super buildings make this a stunning scene Alan.

A dramatic treatment of a classic view. Adding white on a grey ground is counter-intuitive in watercolour practice but oh, so effective.

Really love this composition and your excellent limited palette ..
