No matter what subject you choose to paint or draw I invariably like what you do Alan.

I agree with George, like this !

Once again beautifully done and with a lot of skill.

Love the style of this, starting with the curved horizon and the furrows and contours.

This is another very good one, Alan. I agree with George - I am a fan of all that you do!!

Your usual excellence, all the more so because it’s from your imagination.

I've never thought of using mountboard (he said: to no one's interest at all...). Again, you've pulled it off, with a sure grasp of line and shape.

Your lovely style is very recognisable Alan, we don’t need to read the name! Do you use black in your work? Is some of this pen work or all watercolour?

I like the strength of those darks and the composition is spot on.

Thanks guys, yes Tessa, Indian ink to start me off with those darkest tones, sometimes I’ll use my black brush pen.

Tombow single point is the brand of pen…

Lovely fluid lines make this.

This palette is working really well for you at the moment Alan

Thanks Alan. I have some Tombow pens, introduced in Adebanjis book. Must dig them out!

Another beauty Alan, the touches of colour just perfect.

Like the composition. Tones and technique 👌

Your sense of design and composition are superb. There are many different planes and facets that keep one's interest hopping around the painting. Beautiful.

Like the style and colours.

Watercolour on Ingres mountboard around A4. Simple made up composition!
