Like this , it’s superb. The boats look good alongside the warehouses, as does the Stump in the distance. Bring back memories, use to se it a lot when I live in Lincolnshire for a while as a child .

One is tempted to ask, why do an oil paining? This is just great as it is.

My initial composition and tonal watercolour sketch for an oil painting. Subject is the Boston Stump, and the oil painting from this sketch is one of two oils selected for this year’s TALP exhibition, TA category. Always good to get a feel for the composition, rather than plunging straight in… albeit I do that occasionally!
