I’ve deliberately let the watercolour run over some of the line work, it softens the edges slightly!

Once again Alan it has lots of details and depth without being overly complicated.

Thanks Paul, I like to keep detail to a minimum, just put in the important stuff…

Interesting the way you leave your construction lines in place, it adds more interest and stops the picture looking like an architectural plan . Excellent.

This is so good. I was watching a fascinating programme about restoring Notre Dame after the fire last night, so I'm guessing this is before ....

Unmistakeably good!

Excellent Alan.

Such an imposing building of great elegance Alan. Love your treatment of detail.

It’s architectural but has a freedom to it, nice one!

oh wow, omg.....amazing!!

Uncomplicated and yet fully detailed in its appearance Alan a master at work.

Like the way you have done this Alan.

We also watched the programme about the rebuilding of this wonderful building and found it fascinating the lengths they have gone to to match up the various sections of stone and wood etc.. I think your sketch captures the majestic nature of the building Alan.

Another superlative piece, Alan - excellent use of lines and tones, evoking great immediacy and atmosphere.

Wonderful Alan. You’ve captured all the details so well.

Nice one Al! Love this style….

The unmistakable dimensions of Notre Dame cathedral, my own reference material from a visit a while back. Ink and watercolour in a Stillman & Birn Delta A4 sketchbook. Part of a two-part feature in TA on drawing architecture.
