The snow catching the light immediately caught my eye. More atmospheric now Alan.

Interesting that you're re working some paintings at the moment. I'm doing exactly the same with a few of mine ! This one looks really very good, well worth the revamp :)

Liked the first one, Alan, but this is much more atmospheric, a lovely snow scene.

Lovely painting, like the red building, sets it off.

It’s lovely Alan , I love that patch of glowing white in the distance

A lovely painting of a beautiful part of the countryside. The colours in the sky are wonderful and the reflective light on the snow draws the eye into the distance. Well done Alan

Love everything about this Alan (and I didn't think the first version could be improved on). Stunning. I too am re-working the occasional painting from the past.

I love the patch of warmth in the sky on the left and the beautiful white snow sparkling from the light. Lovely Alan.

Great work.

Love this Alan harmonious colours good composition nicely painted one of your best top notch Alan

A total Bickley whatever. Nice work Alan.

It works very well and I love the colours with that distant light - feel the coldness.

What a lovely snow scene Alan, just great.

Love the white in the distance and the lovely addition of orange gives just a touch of warmth.

You’ve injected a completely different feel and atmosphere Alan, fabulous!

full of atmosphere Alan

Superb atmospheric piece, with a magnificent sweep. Truly excellent work, Alan.

Lovely snow scene Alan, my recent excursion into oils have shown me that alterations are fairly easy to make which gives time to consider possible options and changes if required. Not sure that this excellent piece needs any more work.

That is soooo cold Alan. That light is exactly right .

Decided to change the overall atmosphere on this one, so I wiped off the original painting which I did last week and gave it a much cooler look, and moved some farm buildings into the frame. Not sure it's still what I want but we'll see, I may work on it again. Oil on gessoed MDF 20 x 20in. I'm doing this more and more often these days, going back to a piece and re-working it.
