Old Farm and Buildings near Hopton Heath.
A4 mixed media on Strathmore 300gsm grey paper. Another in the series of local scenes around my area. Mainly Indian ink drawing with watercolour washes. I’m lucky to live in a rural area that has an abundance of interesting landscapes to offer any artist, and some of these sketches will make larger oil paintings at a later date. For the historians amongst us, Hopton Heath was the site of a famous bloody battle in 1643, in which both sides claimed victory - We'll call that a draw then!
