It has that old fashioned antique quality which I like Alan. Reminds me of the old book illustrations, which I suppose would have been done in the same way.

It was a dark and stormy night.......etc. A bit different from your usual style, Alan, but a good and dramatic study of light/dark and it does have a feel of old times, eerie atmosphere

I agree with Stephen - this looks like a book illustration. You are definitely whetting my appetite for having a go - though I don't think I would ever produce anything like this Alan. This is really atmospheric and I would say exciting!

Well thanks to you all for your generous comments, I wasn't so keen on this one, just goes to show and I was surprised to see it on the top gallery, thank you Dawn. Glad there are a few interested fellow artists, I will start the WIP on Saturday, and I will lead off with a monotype. Adele, don't put yourself down, you never know what you are capable of.
