Lovely painting Alan, very atmospheric

Sure looks cold Alan! A nice composition with the road taking us on a journey to the village and onto the hills, has a rugged quality to it. Look forward to reading the 'step by step' and trust you do well at Patchings. Never been but I am told it is a good event.

Beautifully modulated and great painting Alan by a man who loves to paint

lovely composition Alan with lots of drama well done David Harrison

Great work, Alan, superb colours and atmosphere.

Great depth and grit to this one.

Haven't entered yet, never have and time is running, but having seen this, won't bother. Smashing Alan,

more pronounced marks than usual, and a slightly darker palette. A wonderful dramatic scene, expertly painted as always. A great big 'like it' from me.

I like this very much Alan and look forward to the June newsletter.

Great sky Alan! I really like how you do the groups of trees and how they contrast with their surroundings. It's a winner.

Like this very much, Alan. Palette, movement, vibrancy. very effective composition.

Thanks again for the lovely comments, very appreciated.

Lovely work, Alan!

15 x 11in mixed media, oil paint oil pastels, carbon pencil + a few other things. Painted a few weeks ago in the studio, reference my own drawings. I have this work photographed in stages, and if anyone is interested in seeing how it progressed from the drawing stages, it will be featured in the 'Bonus Newsletter' online in early June. My apologies for my lack of comments recently, but I am concentrating on finishing work to enter into this year's Patching's competition.
