Love this Alan lovely vigorous brushwork

Super atmospheric painting - lovely marks and colours to build this lovely scene.

A wonderfully expressive painting<br />

Lovely and atmospheric Alan.

I love this clever, spare picture.

Love that sky Alan!

I love impressionistic style and this painting of yours is a lovely sample of it. I love the strong colours in contrast with the white. Great painting!

if the weather was like that Alan, well done for producing this work. Your fingers must have frozen. Your skill hadn&#39;t obviously, smashing piece.

Thanks to you all, yes, not surprisingly it was one of my quicker sketches, I think my little story about this outing can be seen in the e-newsletter, due shortly. Alan

Lovely winter tones without being too &quot;monochrome&quot;, some winter scenes can make you feel like you really don&#39;t want to be there, but this scene looks great for a walk. It may be the blue sky!

I&#39;ve just been reading Dawn&#39;s email with your description of your painting of this one Alan. Many thanks for sharing that with us. I agree with you that I always painter more quickly and with more enthusiasm outdoors.

Loved reading how you created this painting Alan........so fresh, and I still love that sky!

lovely capture of wintery scape...

Acrylic on Fabiano 300lb NOT watercolour paper. 1/2 Imperial. A cold winter's day near my home in the Trent Valley, with Weston Church on the horizon and Yew Tree Farm in the middle distance. Painted mainly at the scene standing by the banks of the River Trent and some detail added later in the studio.
