Beautiful subdued palette Alan. I have a lot of your paintings to catch up on, will do so but probably won't comment on all. Am still coming to terms, rather incompetently, with the way this new site works. Couldn't figure how to see paintings in chronological order until I asked Dawn. Not exactly intuitive!

Frosty Morning across the Trent Valley. 16 x 20in (406 x 510mm), oil on Frisk canvas board. Similar in content to my posting last week, but I’ve experimented with a different colour palette and atmosphere. I often find it beneficial to develop a series of paintings based around a similar theme, that’s how I like to work. Composition and inspiration for this simple landscape from sketch book material drawn a couple of weeks ago.
