Beautifully painted Alan , I’ve been waiting for this to be posted and it’s not a disappointment, definitely worth the wait.

That’s lovely. One of the Castles on my list to visit. It looks very imposing from that viewpoint. The sky and the foreground are beautiful.

What an imposing scene Alan, and so well painted. I like he composition looking up at the castle which emphasises it’s bulk.

Excellent, Alan One of the nicest pictures of Windsor castle I've seen - much prefer this soft treatment of a rather ubiquitous subject.

This is superb Alan, excellent colour.

So very well painted Alan.

Thanks guys, always appreciate your support! These ACF canvases are superbly constructed and not mass produced. The surface is literally drum tight, and a delight to paint on!

WOW! What a magnificent piece of art, not too much information but just enough to leave the onlooker to work the rest out. Absolutely superb work Alan!!👍👍👍👍🙏🙏👌

A lovely impression Alan, will look up those box panels.

Absolutely beautiful !!

Wow, Alan, that is truly mesmerising!! I just love the effect you have created particularly in the foreground to the castle/

Love the softness to this - and the colours.

Thank you for the words about my canvas - Awesome work! Graham

Super painting Alan.

Ah, that's what I've been waiting for (as has Paul) - a fine example of enough detail, with the discipline to know when enough is enough. Glad you enjoyed the ACF canvas, and it does seem to have suited you well even though I know you prefer a definite tooth: I found that they look smooth, but do have the grip you need. But of course - my paintings aren't as good as yours, and the credit goes to you! It's the fiddly bits on Windsor Castle that I'd have trouble with - indicating them, but not emphasizing their fiddliness: a hard balance. Well worth waiting for.

This is great Alan, I love how the castle appears to be in a spotlight. I love the foreground too!

Very good, Alan.

Lovely to see your painting after your sketch. Really like the way the castle stands out above the foreground.

Lovely impressionistic look.

While not a fan of oils Alan I think this picture is superb

Beautifully balanced piece of work, Alan. Absolutely top notch in every way

Superb Alan, has a touch of Turner about it. Will put the ACF canvas box panel on my list! Thank you

Love the softness of the image. Impression created well

Beautiful, I love the subdued tones!

Oils on a ACF canvas box panel 16 x 20in. This is a synthetic material which has a fine tooth, and a superb drum tight surface to paint on…. Serious oil painters should give it a try! I’m after an impression, not a tight and accurate representation… my camera does that far better… and a bit faster!
