You really get a sense of looking up. What a lovely way to spend a day.

Really well done John.

Thank you Stephen, you’re always so kind 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you Christine 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Much obliged to you for your kindness Coral 🙏🏼

A striking painting and perspective John. I like the way the poles and wires link the different areas.

It's fabulous John, I like this a lot

A superb painting John and beautifully done.

Thanks Tessa!! The poles went in last and it’s always a time to hold my breath 😳

Thanks Heather! Lots of inspiration at Cove if you ever visit 😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😊

Hi Dixie! Many thanks for your generous support 😊😊😎😎

You give the place a sense of clear cool air. Great composition

I love the colour palette here. Also, very good composition.

Quintessential British landscape, a splendid piece of work.

An interesting composition. I like the contrast between the energy you've put into the vibrant spring vegetation and the calmer greens behind.

Thanks Martin, I’m really glad you like the composition 👍🏼

Thank you Richard, I enjoyed mixing up these greens 😊😎

I love that description Tony 🙏🏼😊🙏🏼

Hey Bobbie, I’m delighted you enjoy the greens as much as I do 🙏🏼😊🙏🏼

Beautifully done John. You really do feel that you are looking up at the scene. Great brushstrokes!

A super painting, John!

Thank you Spencer, I’m so glad you get the feel of the place from the painting 😊

Much obliged Anne, glad you like it 😊

I don’t like this very much John……I absolutely love it!! The way you have painted the bothy/garage is so descriptive of the large blocks of uneven stone and rock that these places were built of. And it sits beautifully against the “knocked back” and understated hillside. I’m becoming to see a signature in your paintings John, the addition of poles and lines marking civilisation……which I like very much.

Wow Fiona! What a lovely message and as ever, I’m delighted you love it and that you’re always so positive about my stuff! I’m extremely grateful 🙏🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🙏🏼

Plein air painting with some studio refinement. Cove is a beautiful place, it seems stuck in time and is shockingly close to the centre of Aberdeen. I was alone almost all day and really got stuck in 😊
