As something different from the large powerful mainline locomotives usually depicted in paintings I thought I would go for something a bit different.
Here we have a humble 0-4-0 Saddle Tank engine "Hilda" built by Peckett & Sons in 1938. We find it later in life working hard at the British Gypsum works (formerly Cafferata & Co) in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
My usual OTT level of detail I'm afraid.
A3 size on Hahnemuhle watercolour paper and I will be using my favourite White Nights (Ex Yarka) Russian watercolours.
