I’ve had nearly two weeks of not even being able to look at doing a painting and to push my self out to the she to get on with something. Resulted I tearing up there in progress painting  as I could not even think where to start with them , to late now they are gone . Suddenly decided to do one of my favourite subjects and a fallback at times a rusty old car . One of my reasons for putting it up as a WIP is thst I will feel obliged to get one with it even if it takes time . I quite like how it’s coming along so far , and  thinking of  painting in in soft or gentle colour  hood it works or it darker colour over the top.
What a fabulous car Dixie. Will make an excellent painting.
You've really got the character of it Dixie, and it's well drawn -coming along very well!
Looks good so far… you’ve started off well here by blocking in the tonal values first!
oh, a new avatar picture !!! uh:) your old dented car looks very promising, it is already full of character, I look forward to further progress! 🚜
Thank you I’m pleased with how it’s looking but a bit worried I might overdo it .
Looking great Paul/Dixie (how do you prefer being addressed, Paul or Dixie?), but just wonder how you would feel about removing the back end of the other vehicle to the right and letting the car stand alone? What do you think? Good on you for coming back to painting again, hope all goes well from now on.

Very slow progress as I haven’t done anything till this afternoon and then forced myself to go out to the shed and paint , lost the momentum and the motivation to do any painting. Added sone base colours on the bodywork, along the grill , running board and the headlights I use silver watercolour paint. I’ve never used silver before and came across a tube in a very old art shop so decided to give it a go , I don’t think it shows up so I will take a close up shot next time .
It is coming along very well Paul. The rust colours look great.
Coming along beautifully Dixie.
Thank you Denise and Sylvia I appreciate your comments . Bit more this afternoon what attracts me to these rusty old cars , vans etc is how the different parts rust differently , adds so many colours and textures. Off course it due to different thickness and mix of the metals that cause the variation and the different treatment process for each part of the bodywork. To be honest I don’t care how or what causes it’s the effect that’s so interesting . Going a bit darker than I thought I would but need to do so to get the looks .
