Don’t know the book, Lewis, although have heard of it - probably one that’s more for the boys! Thought I’d post this as my last one - it’s not new, but when I first painted it several people said it reminded them of the book.

Thanks Tessa, yes, a bit too easy this one, wasn’t it!
Very lovely though!
Some good books and sketches paintings so far. I have done a simple pen and watercolour sketch, it is from part of the story but a long way from the end. I think it will be harder to name the book than the events, characters etc. It has made lots of films , books etc.
Good sketch, Dixie :)  I'm guessing it has something to do with King Arthur and Merlin - there was a film "The Sword in the Stone" but I don't know the book (there have been a few!)
Your on the right track Margaret, the book was used and was the influence for the film Sword in the Stone animated by Disney.
Sorry double post.

Yes I know it's obvious, but I'll think of something more difficult if I have time - something I'm short of at present!

Is it mutiny on the Bounty, Alan.
Well yes it could be Paul, I was thinking of something different. It’s heading towards an island!
