My first thought was Miss Haversham, the woman forever in her wedding dress.  A fascinating technique Linda, it looks almost sculptural.
Probably wrong, but could it be The Snow Queen?  It’s a lovely ethereal image, Linda.
Thanks Lew and Jennie, no it's neither of your suggestions, I thought this would have been easy but i'm glad the ethereal element has come through, that's what was intended and Lew it was mostly done with a palette knife just slapping it on!!
Is it the Ice Queen in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe?   Either which way, I like it a lot!
Keep going Heather you'll get there in the end lol!! If no one else comes up with anything i'll give you a clue!!
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins?
Will read and comment later, a lot happening in my world, but wanted to get my book in.
Alan’s has to be Sharpe.  But I’m not sure of a particular book as there are so many. Linda’s I cannot get.

Ha Margaret I was beginning to think I had made it up lol, well painted Alan, I would say Sharpe, the Bernard Cornwell novels and a great television series with Sean Bean.
Still haven't got the white lady, others have already suggested titles I was thinking about.  Alan's is definitely SHARPE, great yarns... read all the books.
Could it be the Ice Maiden Linda?
Sorry I should have said, Margaret was right with Wilkie Collins Woman in White.
