I also find the subscribe to the artist/ leisure painter pop up annoying, every time I log in come up. I have also found out, that if you block all cookies you are no longer able to use the site, until you unlock the cookies. so you can't stop seeing the ads. A google thing I believe.

They are a huge annoyance... there's already ads at the top of the screen, and middle and full width ads further down. Why would POL need to have yet more ads (the particularly annoying one covering the message symbol). The more irritations (ads) a site has, the less I am inclined to visit! 🙁
Yes, agree, totally annoying, seems worse on laptop, there isn't even a x tog get rid of it, are they trying to send us all barmy, 😟
Why not forget the paintings and just have ads!
Well as I have said earlier, I’ve made Dawn aware of how annoying these ads are, and also that the box is covering the menu bar and speech bubble on my iPhone. Others are obviously having similar issues. Dawn IS looking into it, it’s not something that she has been involved with instigating, and I’m sure that she will read all of our concerns on this thread and pass them on to the appropriate people.  My concern has already been passed on so the ball is rolling! Hold tight and let’s see what transpires next week.

Well it looks like they’ve been moved to the top of the screen, so at least you can scroll them out of sight, and I can now access the menu. I can live with that, although I’d prefer that they weren’t there at all!

I don’t mind a ad or two - I can usually ignore them - it’s when they get in the way all the time that it gets frustrating.
Mines ok now.
