Some really good paintings and sketches , you are all working hard . A pencil sketch from me , might do it as a watercolour at some point.
Another good oldie Dixie. Mine is a pen sketch of the Migrant Mother that Ron’s been drawing. Hope you don’t mind Ron, fascinating story about how the photos came about, very moving.
I love the truck sketch Paul lots of great detail.  Your Migrant mother is really good Tessa I admire your people/portrait skills.  Mines a little sketch from a photo taken long ago of a little girl tentatively reaching out to a cat sat on the wall.
Locked down & snowbound. Time for making bread.
Fantastic Tessa. Nicely done. It is a very moving story and despite her hardships she lived to a ripe old age.  We were asked to bring some photos of ‘interesting faces’ to the portrait course and when I saw this I knew I wanted to have a go. It’s a good exercise for hands, ears, eyes and expression.
Lovely sketch Hilary. Great loaf, Stephen. Bet it tasted good however you like your topping.
Fantastic sketches here - I just can’t keep up!  But here is my hapeth. Inspired by Lewis. I’ve never tried cartoon characters before and I see what Lewis means about the hands.

A huge range of subject matter...great.  Hard to comment on them all, if I try scrolling back I lose what I've written.  I like your cartoon, Linda.  Paul's two boys heads are great.  Bread, dogs, cats, figures, car repairer etc etc...it's hard to keep up. When I'm doing a pic, I scribble ideas in a cheap sketchbook before starting the drawing.  They are so rough it's not worth showing them...they literally take seconds to do (as you'll see).  I wanted to draw a professor type, and did very quick doodles for how he'll stand, and how he might look... You'll see the 'almost' finished figure on the right doesn't really look like any of the doodles.  I just use them to get my thoughts in the right place.  They're a starting point.  There's a limerick with this pic, I'll post it tomorrow.
Some lovely character and figure sketches here today - Lewis, Linda, Hilary, Tessa and Margaret. I like the shop, truck and bread too - Denise, Stephen and Paul. My sketch today is of a chap sitting in a cafe in the sun. I’ve done this before, but I keep being drawn back to him because he looks so menacing. He was sitting all on his own having a bottle of champagne with his lunch. I was having a beer, but couldn’t get the 007 theme out of my mind for some reason.
Lovely range of sketches - particularly liking that there are so many sketches of people this month.  Liked seeing your preliminary sketches along with the finished one, Lewis. Another small amount of snow followed by another hard frost so here are a couple of sketches (on A2 paper) done of the top of Arthur's Seat from out of my window (all I can see of it above the houses opposite) in preparation for a painting.
A very very quick sketch 10 mins.  Looked across the road and saw Mrs Farmer being chased by hens,. It made me laugh.  P
