A very very quick sketch 10 mins.  Looked across the road and saw Mrs Farmer being chased by hens,. It made me laugh.  P
So many sketches to keep up with and they are all fantastic, I think it's great so many are taking part. The hen chase is delightful Sylvia. Mine tonight is another staircase, I've got a fascination for them at the moment. This is still wonky but better than my first attempt I think.
Gosh you are all getting stuck in with great pieces of work. I have hit a blip past couple of days but hoping to do something tomorrow after going to the vets for special dog food  .... expensive dog !
Love the lady with her chicks Sylvia, and Denise that staircase is really good, you do like a challenge!
I like the lady with the chickens Sylvia and the staircase Denise. The sketches of Arthur’s Seat are intriguing too Margaret - hope to see the finished product sometime. My sketch today is another figure study.

Looking out of the kitchen window.
Lovely....you had a pile of snow as well.
Really like the chooks Sylvia!   That is a very ornate staircase, Denise - lovely detailing.  Beautifully sketched figure study Paul and I love that winter landscape, Stephen.   Did a couple of quick studies of the dawn this morning - here is one of the sky (the other one needs finished as left it to go "zooming" etc).   The sky was beautiful but rather subtle - I found it difficult to capture the right colours - I've also found it difficult to get those subtle colours correct in the photograph.
Another great staircase Denise, I found these staircases online, very detailed.  I love your sketching style Paul.  I have been trying out some lovely little postcard size paper that I bought in a sale, the quality is really good and makes a lot of difference to the resulting washes. Lovely sky Margaret
I just might try them Hilary, it's fitting in curves with straight line that fascinates me at the moment. It's difficult to try and get your head around the different shapes all falling together. I like your post card. Margaret, you picture is very nice and I like your snow scene Stephen. Great sketches Paul.

Great snow scene Stephen and the sky and landscape paintings are lovely Hilary and Margaret. Good luck with the staircases Denise. This morning I decided to challenge myself a bit. I did a quick sketch of a flea market a couple of weeks ago and thought let’s see what it looks like as a watercolour. It’s a bit of a complicated picture with lots of figures. This is from the same photo as my previous sketch - just a different view. Anyway, here’s my preparatory drawing. I’ll start painting it today, but it may all go wrong and be consigned to the bin. Fingers crossed.
