You’re right Paul, I would if I had the room! It’s a great Healan Coo, he looks all set for the winter with his thick coat.
Trying out wet charcoal. It's suppose to be a rain storm.
Looks interesting… is it Nitram liquid charcoal you’re using Denise? I’ve got a tube but haven’t used it for a while, I might dig it out!
It looks like a rain storm to me Denise , I never tried wet charcoal . I bet  it would be rubbish on the BBQ.
It's the hard pressed charcoal Alan, You can wet the paper before use or wet the charcoal once on the paper. I'm about to try a loose flower to see how that works. I think you can use soft pastel the same way. I just came across the technique just before I tried it. Paul, that brought a grin to my face.
Okay, I know the stuff, I’ve also got some Nitram sticks which are hard but I hadn’t thought of wetting them… food for thought!
I thought it was the white cliffs of Dover Denise!
Yes, I can see cliffs in the background now you mention it Linda. Here is my attempt at the loose flower using the wet charcoal. I guess it takes a bit of practice and experimenting with.

The Raven I did the other week, I can see that if I was aware of using wet charcoal, I could have got more of the look I wanted but I didn't know how to do it and using wet charcoal would have been perfect for some of it. It's certainly has possibilities.
The Nitram powdered charcoal is interesting to use also, I use it alongside the liquid charcoal. It’s expensive but it goes a long way. Jackson’s have the info on all of the Nitram charcoal range.
I'll have a look into it Alan and may get some to try, I didn't know about liquid charcoal. Thanks.
Interesting using liquid charcoal. I am getting a set of tinted charcoal paints as wanted to try wet charcoal! This is a quick ( and rare ) subject from me . Use tinted charcoal
