Very effective Paul ..think I'll be giving it a try when I get back home.
Pencil sketch for a painting of Glamis Castle different view point..
Excellent sketches Bari.  Paul you have reminded me that I have recently bought 3 white gel pens of different thicknesses, not to mention some black paper that I got in Dundee.  So I must use it in with the other experiments.  Love your Bison, reminding me of the European Bison that I saw in the Highland wildlife park.  So much to do…..
I haven’t done anything in the past few days as have my son is here on holiday but I bought a set of Derwent tinted charcoal pencils and other ‘stuff’ in our local Art shop yesterday.  Went in to see if  they had the new Derwent tinted charcoal ‘paint set’ but alas no but I still managed to blow £84! Lovely drawings of Glamis Castle Bari. Hopefully I will have an offering to post tomorrow!
Strange day.  Weather lovely garden (Huge) so messy I sort of kicked a few things around.  So though I’d do a  comp sketch for the cartoon character….complete b***s .  So I will inflict it on you instead… it’s called Boris ….

Was supposed to have blond hair.  The more I did the more it looked like a lion.  Which was not my intention. Sadly he is in my precious concertina book.  Grrr.
Nice line sketch Bari , will make a good painting. Well Sylvia he looks friendly and fun , I can understand how your feel when something doesn’t work out and to make  worse it’s in a pad or in your case your precious concertina book , sadly to stay . Hopefully you will get used to the sketch in time and not feel so cross about it. Another gel pen sketch, trying to do more complicated sketches . I have notice they look better from further back ( ten miles help).
Sylvia’s Boris does remind me of someone 🤨but maybe looks a bit too tidy and sensible for the Boris I’m thinking of!  Dixie I’m liking your gel pen work, very fierce. I went with my daughter to feed some horses for a friend who is away for the week, and this is Mimi, a very quick sketch because she refused to pose for more than a few seconds and then hid in her stable!
I quite like your Boris Sylvia ! Maybe Mimi is a diva Tessa and Paul. your boy looks pretty scary but in a good way! Here is a quick sketch using my new tinted charcoal pencils for the first time.  Will need a lot more practice and experimentation to master them I reckon!

Thanks Sylvia, nice sketch in such a short time. Nice one Gillian I’ve never used the tinted charcoal looks interesting. Two different styles and mediums from me , the gel pen of the Angus is Fiona's new  wee loon , bet you have one as well if you could Fiona. The other is a pencil and graphite sketch of ancient man. Thanks
When sketches don't turn out the way we want, the mistakes can sometimes make them look interesting. I think Boris looks interesting. Nice horse Tessa and Gillian, looks like the tinted charcoal are going well. Paul, you are doing some lovely sketches at the moment.
